Welcome to Thames Valley Perl Mongers! This group exists for anyone in the region of the Thames Valley, UK to have fun learning about the Perl computer programming language.

It doesn't matter how much experience you have with Perl: the group exists for everyone from complete beginners to experienced developers.

Meetings

We meet once a month for drink and good conversation in several venues across Marlow, Reading, Didcot, Oxford, and other places in the Thames Valley..

Occasionally we also have technical talks on a variety of topics, delivered by our members or guests.

Another great turnout and a nice variety of topics. Thanks to the speakers, attendees and newcomers! Again we wrapped up with some chatter and a couple of drinks, this time downstairs in the Global Cafe at RISC.

Another good turnout and a nice variety of topics. Unfortunately Rick couldn't make it due to illness so we'll have his "Recruitment in Perl, and the Perl Academy" talk next time. We had a great turnout (12, I think) and two excellent talks: one from Iain about enhancements to an open source game he helps on, and another from Alex about improving profiling and optimizing Perl applications.
