Welcome to Thames Valley Perl Mongers! This group exists for anyone in the region of the Thames Valley, UK to have fun learning about the Perl computer programming language.

It doesn't matter how much experience you have with Perl: the group exists for everyone from complete beginners to experienced developers.

Meetings

We meet on the third Wednesday of each month for food, drink, and good conversation in the Copa bar, Reading.

Every three months or so we have technical talks on a variety of topics, delivered by our members or guests.

Another good turnout for the first of our hopefully regular social meetings.

We had a great turnout (12, I think) and two excellent talks: one from Iain about enhancements to an open source game he helps on, and another from Alex about improving profiling and optimizing Perl applications. We wrapped up with some chatter and a couple of drinks across the road. Many thanks to Opsview for hosting this meeting.
